About Marta Leyva

Marta V. Leyva, M.A. is the owner of Voz de Victoria, a bilingual (Spanish / English) special education advocacy and educational consulting firm that has been supporting parents for the last 8 years.
She currently works to improve the lives of children with disabilities and their families by creating a collaborative partnership between parents/guardians and school/educational teams to ensure students receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE) while having both their academic and social/emotional needs met.
Marta also provides workshops that empower parents and support the development of their child’s strengths and areas of need. Previously, Marta served elementary aged students for over 20 years as a bilingual elementary public school teacher, instructional coach, and school administrator.
As a lifelong educator, Marta has seen many students succeed both academically and social-emotionally as a result of the consistent implementation of positive and responsive personal interactions and effective teaching practices.
Her personal and professional experiences have provided Marta with a 360º view of the education process and its ability to support the development of all children when EVERY member of the individualized education program (IEP) team actively participates and is dedicated to the growth of the student.
